Nordwick Tech practices holistic admissions. We evaluate each applicant as a whole person, considering academic achievement alongside personal qualities, experiences, and potential contributions to our community.

Testing Policy: Test-Optional
Nordwick Tech is test-optional through 2028. You may submit SAT or ACT scores if you believe they strengthen your application, but they are not required. Students who do not submit scores will not be at a disadvantage in the admissions process.
Middle 50% for submitted scores (Class of 2028): SAT 1420-1540 | ACT 32-35
How to Apply
We accept the Common Application and Coalition Application. Choose the platform that works best for you. Remember: there's no application fee!
Required Materials
- Common or Coalition Application
- High school transcript (official or unofficial)
- Two teacher recommendations (one STEM, one humanities preferred)
- Counselor recommendation and school report
- Personal essay (650 words)
- Nordwick Tech supplemental essays (2 short essays)
- Mid-year report (for Regular Decision applicants)
Important Dates
Nordwick Tech Supplemental Essays
Essay 1 (250 words):
Nordwick Tech's motto is "Veritas per Ingenium" (Truth through Ingenuity). Tell us about a time when you used creativity, innovation, or resourcefulness to solve a problem or pursue a passion. What did you learn about yourself in the process?
Essay 2 (250 words):
Our students engage with the local community through the Civic Lab, working on projects that address real-world challenges. Describe a community or social issue you care about. How might you contribute to addressing this issue during your time at Nordwick Tech?
No application fee required
Transfer Students
Nordwick Tech welcomes transfer students who have completed at least one semester of college coursework. We typically admit 30-40 transfer students each year for fall enrollment.
Transfer Requirements:
- College transcript(s) with minimum 3.5 GPA
- High school transcript
- Two college professor recommendations
- Transfer essay explaining your reasons for transferring
Transfer Application Deadline: March 15
International Students
Nordwick Tech enrolls students from over 60 countries. International students bring diverse perspectives that enrich our community and are eligible for the same need-based financial aid as U.S. students.
Additional Requirements:
- TOEFL (minimum 100) or IELTS (minimum 7.5) for non-native English speakers
- Certification of Finances form
- Translated transcripts (if not in English)
Note: International students follow the same deadlines as first-year applicants and pay no application fee.
